Is it true?  Can it be?  It appears so for now.  Many local Oklahoma and surrounding states have been checking out the forums at Outdoor Adventure Group (OAG) for some time now.  We all have noticed the deline in posting and the general loss of interest in the site, but honestly - most of us still love that site.  We haven't heard word yet from the current guys running the site to be able to give you an update on what's going on over there.  I'll be sure to update you as soon as we know something.

In the meantime - Feel free to park your rig here at GBO if you are insterested in a full Membership and ALWAYS active offroad group to belong too.  Check out the Membership forums for the Membership bylaws etc.  If it's extreme wheeling you're into - then this is the group for you!

Maybe you aren't ready for extreme or full membership of an active offroad group?  Are you are looking for the same atmosphere as OAG - Than look no further than Http://www.oklahomaoffroaders.com .  OkOR is just an open forum that attempts to bring together all the groups of the NE Oklahoma area and surrounding area's information.  Their goal is to have a single calendar of events for any event that can be found on any given day in our sport.  No membership fee's or process's are required as this is not an offroad club - but just a forum for chatting and sharing information.

If you are new to the Gettin Bent crew, then allow me to let you in on a little secret.  These guys like to go BIG!  Want to know what I mean? Well, just join on in to the forum and check out some of the local fabrication that is going on.  The GBO President himself is in the middle of a massive 4 seater buggy that he is tackling mostly on his own.  From design to development and thru to deployment, with the help of a few friends of course, he is in the middle of creating one of the area's toughest rigs.  See for yourself.

He started out with a simple idea to build a rig, bigger than his already HUGE Jeep, but safer for his family..

Then it was time to get all the images out of his head on into the shop!

We should be ready for production!

When I get some more time, I will begin to write up some of the most common features this new site will offer everyone. 

Things like the Gallery - it's now linked to your web account, so now each user has the ability to create their own user gallery and upload their own pictures to it!!  This will be a great load of the current admins that were having to do this work for everyone.  Now you are responsible for your own pictures in that gallery!  Yay! 

The FAQ link - This is where we can list locations of where everyone wheels - Misc safety tips and any other Frequently asked questions can go here and be answered so even non-members just checking out the club can get access too.

The Members Ride link - This is still controlled by our admins, but is easily updated - In fact, as we moved data from the original site to the new site, we saw there were a lot of old profiles here - and it might be a good time to get some updates to your rigs and maybe add any new members - retire non-members etc.

The Downloads link - All the official club forms will be kept here.  Anything else we come up with can have a group created for it as well.  

More great ideas to come - and I welcome any comments or feedback that you would like to give!  See ya in the forums (which btw, are part of the main site login too!)  Yay for integration!
